Background:

Sergio was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. There, he began helping at his father's bakeries at the age of 9, learning one of Europe's finest professions as an apprentice to a number of Spain's most renowned pastry chefs and bakers. His passion for pastry grew along with his father's business, and he began leading his father's team at the age of 17.

 

Upon his arrival to the United States, in 2003, Sergio began dreaming about recreating his experience in his father's bakery. After years of hard work, he was able to establish Madrid--fueling his passion and recreating the experience of a traditional family-operated European bakery in the heart of Spain.
